SHOW NOTES

CeeGees Aloud: where together we try to figure out how to find Common Ground, forge Common Good, and fight Corporate Greed in this absurdist 21st century society of ours.

And to help the medicine go down, we discuss classic rock, classic pop, classic country, and, especially, '80s metal. (OK fine, call it "hair metal" if you must...)

It's kinda-sorta Season 2, but really it's the first episode not generated on Substack. CeeGees Aloud is 50% narration of the previous week's CeeGees.org Substack newsletter, and 50% check-in on the topics discussed in that newsletter.

This first pod back explains what our new initiative is, ties in college basketball with this music and current events podcast somehow, and then recaps that Congress' bipartisan border/international aid bill, their bipartisan bill to help poor kids (and REALLY help rich adults), and their bipartisan siege upon the evil social network companies were all successful and perfect and we're finally tired of winning we're winning so much.

And then Dean narrates aloud (with some new BONUS asides woohoo) last Friday February 2nd's CeeGees.org Substack newsletter, which analyzed Aerosmith's Permanent Vacation album and the Doobie Brothers' "It Keeps You Runnin'" for very important reasons Dean will explain within.

Let's find Common Ground to forge Common Good and fight Corporate Greed. And then dish about hair metal (and other lesser music genres).
